Sendai (仙台) Trip ~~Food and Izumi Premium Outlet (May 2015)

Unluckily there was a huge typhoon the day when I planned to go to Sendai. So I dragged my huge suitcase under the rain (and it got heavier and heavier as the rain soaked my suitcase) to catch the mid-night bus.

Surprisingly, it was a really comfortable trip! If you sit near the window, you can pull the curtain and you will have this tiny cubicle all by yourself.

There are blankets, slippers and free drink that came with the bus ticket!

Then when you wake up in the morning, you will be in Sendai!

We booked a hotel that is within walking distance of the Sendai Station.

As you walk up the sendai station, you will see quite a lot of huge shopping centres like S-Pal. They are all linked by a bridge so it's really handy to do shoppingXD

Inside the Sendai Station, you will see a lot of souvenir shops.

When you mention Sendai, you definitely can't miss out the ox tongue!!

You can even buy the frozen ox tongue and cook for yourself. But it would be difficult to bring back to non-Japan area...

Cheese ball inside fish-ball like snacks are also popular in Sendai.

And Zunda mochi. Zunda are smashed green peas that taste sweet. It covers the mochi like a coating, which is another well-known souvenir of Sendai~

Dorayaki! (red bean, walnut, strawberry flavours etc... There is the smashed green peas fillings as the Sendai special version)

After being distracted by the food corner, we went down stair to catch a bus going to Izumi Outlet.

660Yen for one way!

The bus took about 30-40 mins to go to outlet.

After arriving at the bus stop, the outlet is right in front of you!
(see below)

Inside...

There are lots of shops which sold toys, houseware, clothes, sport wears etc. There are Japanese local brands and also worldwide brands. Of course the famous luxury brands are also there if you are looking for them. (please visit the homepage)

The weather was really nice when I went!

The outlet has outdoor and indoor areas. When you got hungry, there are restaurants in the indoor- part of the outlet. There are udons, curry, ice-cream, tagoyaki, ramen, Ox tongue etc... (there are also non-Japanese food too if you feel like it)

Then when you leave, just find the bus stop with the correct direction.
